HOW WE ACHIEVE OUR GOALS

SOCIAL MEDIA:

Every day we post inspirational and/or positive messages on our Instagram story. We do this to help bring a smile to our followers' faces and allow them more of a peaceful day. We have over a hundred followers and expect to keep growing as we keep spreading awareness for mental health.

GUEST SPEAKERS

We’ve had many guest speakers teach and discuss important topics, experiences, and careers. For example,
Mrs. Nadine Young, who talked about deep breathing exercises, having a balanced diet, drinking water, and staying active by. Mr. Paul Blount, who is a motivational interviewer and licensed clinical social worker, talked about his job. And one of our school counselors, Mr. Nathan Pellegrin he spoke to us about his daily tasks as a crucial resource to our high school students, and how to recognize if someone needs help.

EVENTS

Every Wednesday Bring Change to Mind hosts meditation and free yoga sessions in our Wellness Room. The goal of both meditation and yoga is to calm the body and relax one’s mind in order to promote mental wellness.
Activation Week was created by Bring Change to Mind in order to stimulate clubs nationally during a week in the Mental Health Month. Throughout the week our club held several events to bring awareness to mental health!

OUTREACHES

We have outreaches, where we visit elementary and junior high school students about important mental health topics like de-stressing techniques, and how the brain controls mental health, and well-being.
